Audio files uploaded

Done some “file work” today, and uploaded a few audio files. Nothing fancy, though, but remember; these are stations received with a very modest antenna system. My phased loops will be improved (a lot!) when I’m back here again in mid October. The files uploaded today contains audio from the following stations:

  • JOLF, Tokyo-1242 KHz
  • HLAZ, Jeju-1566 KHz
  • TWR Puttalam-882 KHz
  • AIR, Rajkot-810 KHz
  • AIR, Najibabad-954 KHz
  • CBS Taiwan-1098 KHz
  • Radio Iasi, Romania-1053 KHz
  • Radio Payam, Tehran-1188 KHz

Dealing with audio files is quite time consuming, so I will continue tomorrow with a few more stations. Hope you like what I’ve uploaded today anyway.

The geomagnetic storm seems to have “ceased fire” for this time, and the mediumwave band doesn’t sound like a frying pan anymore. The Solar Terrestrial Activity Report says that propagation on long distance northeast-southwest paths is fair to good, so I will spend a few hours tonight looking for asian stations.

73, all!

About Hans

Male. 50 years young. DX:er since 1980. In September 2011 I moved up to Vardø on Vardøya Island (EU-141) to start working as manager for the Coast Radio station in Vardø. I feel very lucky to have this opportunity to work with the thing that I think is the most interesting in the whole world - Radio! My main interest is, yeah - you guessed right: Radio. I'm a ham radio operator, holding the callsign LA2MOA. My main radio interests is low power operation and low band DXing on the amateur bands, but also mediumwave and tropical band DX-listening. I'm also interested in angling, fly-fishing and fly-tying. The area around Vardø offers some great opportunities to do all of this. And, since I'm of swedish origin, I'm also madly interested in ice-hockey and since 35 years I'm a hardcore supporter of Rögle BK in Ängelholm - one of the few really true hockey clubs left in Sweden.
